Brooke Carmack reports the loss of a T-shirt quilt that she made for her son, Spencer. This quilt was last seen during the Fall of 2013 in a Cedar City, Utah storage unit. The storage unit was sold and they didn’t realize the quilt was in the unit until a year later.
This quilt is approximately 65″ by 75″. It has blue sashing and red binding with stars. The backing is a Buchanan plaid flannel. She used t-shirts from various sports and schools. The name Spencer is on at least one block, and Santa Clara Youth Soccer League are featured on some. It may also include Sutter School and Forest Park Cabana with stick figures and names. The blocks are approximately 11″ square. This quilt is machine pieced and hand tied with yarn.
This quilt is very sentimental since the t-shirts were from Spencer’s youth and can’t be replaced. If you find this quilt, please contact Brooke at brooke@carmack.org.
